Guest guest
Just a thought to go with your prayer. My mom who is also a suffer, and has others Poly,RA, etc. has kept going, still at 76 goes to work, sometime I don't know, but she keeps telling me to practice, LET GO AND GOD., THIS has got her through, her pain, trials, and got her through her cancer TX which she has been cancer free 5yrs., but know has been told they have found this and that and are sending her on the DR. runs again, which she is tiring from. But try it LET GO AND LET GOD Honeycutt wrote: GOD grant me the serenityto accept the things I cannot change the courage to change the things I canand the wisdom to know the difference. Guest guest
It is progressive . I know from my own experience. I don't see myself able to keep working until I am 65. The last 5 years have attacked me and the fibro went 10 fold. You know I told you that I use to have very mild symptoms for years... so mild I did not realize I was sick. Just tired all the time, numnbness and tingling in the fingers, and also fibro fog which I did not recognize it to be fibro fog. Now the tired has turned to exhaustion and the pain set when I had that flare 5 years ago. My body was never the same after that flare. I also get the stiffness I never had in my younger years. So bad that sometimes I have to literally roll myself out of bed because my back won't bend and all my joints stiffen. love ya, Debra V. Guest guest
Because the fibro monster does what it wants to each one of us in a very different way. It's as individual as we are. At least that is what I am assuming based on years in these support groups. Do you just have fibro, , or are there other things you have to maintain? I can't remember, I know several of us here have other conditions we treat as well as fibro. I have a neck issue that gets worse (progresses) if I don't go to my chiro regularly, and when that acts up the whole body will hurt and ache and I never leave my couch during those times. It's miserable. Horrible pain. It took ten years for someone to find out that my neck was just all jacked up and disc c5 is not as plump as my others. My neck doesn't c-curve like a natural neck should, it kind of zig zags and doesn't sit right. When I keep that in check then I do okay, and no progression. Anyhow just rambling. Not sure what I'm allowed to say here as I feel all I do is tick everyone off lately. I'm feeling very upset and alone right now, as I didn't sleep last night so I'm in pain. I'm going to turn this one over to God. Honeycutt wrote: > GOD grant me the serenityto accept the things I cannot change the courage to change the things I canand the wisdom to know the difference. Guest guest
Hi Debra, Your description fits me so well. Especially the getting out of bed and the steady increase in pain. And yet, there are still so many things that I can do that I am so afraid of losing. I can walk and walk and walk. I do know that I couldn't do any of them though if I weren't on medication. Guest guest
Yes yes yes yes!!! I wouldn't be alive today without it. On a day like today, where there simply is no more hope left, I have to say this very thing. Thank you Sharon, thank you so much, I really needed to read this just now. You have no idea how little hope I have today, bless you and thank you! > she keeps telling me to practice, LET GO AND GOD., THIS has got her through, her pain, trials, and got her through her cancer TX which she has been cancer free 5yrs., but know has been told they have found this and that and are sending her on the DR. runs again, which she is tiring from. Guest guest
My fibro is slowing getting worse also. The past few years it sped up some. But my muscles are still conditioned. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. > > > > 5.
