Guest guest
Diane, here goes. My case is complicated by numerous other medical conditions and diseases, however. First thing in the morning I start coffee for the DH and spend an hour or so with him, take my synthroid and ultram ER. I throw some breakfast at him and have a small snack of protein to jump start my body. Once he's out the door, I have some breakfast and take the rest of my medications, feed our cat, and do the morning work, make bed, wash dishes, freshen bathroom, and wash clothes if needed. From there I try to tackle one or two larger household tasks, like vaccuum, or deep clean a room, or unpack a few boxes (we recently moved). If it's trash day I'm busy topping off the trash can(s), lol. On days when we've had a large frond drop from one of the royal palms, I'll go drag it up to the patio so it doesn't spoil the grass, and await DH's cutting it up for the trash. If I have a medical appointment or test I'll shower and head out, and try to consolidate errands to make the most of the gas when I take the car out. Usually I have to lie down and rest a couple of times by this point in the day. If no medical appointment, I may do grocery shopping, errands, whatever else needs done. There are alot of tests and dr visits, as I have multiple medical conditions, and see several specialists, pulmy, cardio, gastroenterologist, ad nauseum. Afternoon means more chores, as well as adhering to the six small meals a day for GERD and diverticulitis, which is very difficult to fit in the small snacks when I'm out on the road for doc appts and whatever. If I'm home, I may take care of paying bills or try to fit in some yard work, pull a few weeds, or maybe wash the car, whatever is pressing. It just depends on how I'm feeling as to whether I can do anything. Yes, pain is my constant companion, but I can hurt and live life or I can hurt and lay in bed. What the ??? Late afternoon/early evening is spent with DH. I make dinner, clean up, socialize with him, and usually relax a bit myself. Bedtime is a bit of a to-do, as I have more meds to take for my stomach and breathing (I have interstitial lung disease also. Wash face so my bipap mask will be leak-free, fill heated humidifier and set up machine and mask. Take Amitriptylin so I can sleep and relax in bed with computer while I wait to get a bit drowsy. Put on mask and wait for sleep. Even though I'm being treated for Obstructive Sleep Apnea, I'm up alot at night, due to joint pain (congenital bilateral hip displaysia). If I am on my right side very long, my right hip hurts and wakens me. So the bipap machine does keep my airway open so that I don't die in my sleep from the OSA, but it does not prevent the fragmented sleep from the pain I live with. If I manage to stay off the right side much of the night, I feel pretty decent when I waken, though the brain fog is pretty bad when I get up in the AM, ready to do it all over again. girlsaylor Hey everyone, I am attempting to educated my friends and co workers to what we go through in our dailey lifes. I would like everyone to tell a little bit about a week in the life of some one with Fibro. Thanks Diane
