My dr visit yesterday

Well i had my appt with the new pain management dr. Of course after poking and

prodding me decided that I am in a full fibro flare. Duh. Also wants a new MRI

of my spine to check out my herniated discs and see if there are any new

problems there. He also diagnosed sciatica and low back pain. My treatment is #1

to get me a good nights sleep, test my hormones to see if I need to be on

therapy for those. Low hormone levels add to fibro pain. New one to me. Also

high testosterone levels. I will also have that tested to see if I have. Not too

willing to treat with pain killers. I had to pratically beg for something for

pain. Oh and he wants me to go to water therapy and deep tissue release. If I

can afford it I will. Doubtful though. I was not impressed with him. After I get

the tests, I am going for another opinion. I went to pain management for pain

control, not to be told pain meds won't help cause they are not the cure. there

is no cure. Anyhow just wanted to update y'all.

Have been sick too so can't win for losing. Hope everyone is doing alright.

MY NEUROSURGEON WOULD NOT LET ME DO PAIN MANAGEMENT AS IT ONLY MADE ME WORSE.

OF COURSE I'VE HAD 3 NECK AND 1 LOWER BACK SURGERY. THERE IS NO CURE FOR FIBRO

AT PRESENT HE SAYS SO JUST TAKE THE VALIUM AND VICADIN I PRESCRIBE FOR YOU AND

HOPE IT WILL DULL THE PAIN. HE SAYS DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE WILL ONLY MAKE ME HURT

WORSE, TO GO FOR THE LIGHT MASSAGE AND WATER THERAPY WHICH WORKS FOR ME. OF

COURSE NOT LONG AFTER I HURT AGAIN. VICIOUS CIRCLE ISN'T IT. AT LEAST I HAVE A

CARING AND UNDERSTANDING DR. HE SAID IF I DIDN'T TAKE THE MED'S AS PRESCRIBED

THE PAIN WOULD GET SO BAD THAT IT WOULD TAKE LONGER TO GET IT UNDER CONTROL. (A

DULL ROAR I CALL IT.)
