Guest guest
I have that problem at times too girl. I get side tracked in my mind somehow and forget if I took a med or not. (this does not happen all the time).... but it does. I can forget things from one minute to the next sometimes. One of the wonderful blessings that comes with the fibro beast.... fog. hugs, Debra V. Then I asked hubby " did I just take flonase? " I couldn't remember! He said yes you just took flonase. That is what worries me. What if I accidentally take something twice. Guest guest
I have an idea for you. This is what I do so I will know if I took something or not. I turn the bottle over, then I know I did. Then when I get up in the morning,I turn it back over. Guest guest
Good idea! I saw something on tv about an invention aimed mostly for the elderly but would work for us too. It's this little matt thing that holds your meds, and when you pick the bottle up, that registers on a little computer so you can track what you took. But I guess that may not work if you pick a bottle up to read the label but didn't take it. Sometimes in the morning I'll pull all the pill bottles down to the counter, then after I take what I need I put the bottle back up in the cabinet. wrote: > I have an idea for you. Guest guest
Yes, I worry about that, too. I used to use the pill containters, but I've stopped. It's my nightime meds that worry me. Last night, I was asking myself, did I already take these? If I ever goof, that's double Cymbalta, Lamictal, klonopin, flexeril and atenelol. Guess I'd probably sleep really well. But after the supposedly accidental overdose death of Heath Ledger, it's very scary thinking about it. I think I will start using one of those daily pill paks for the nightime meds starting tonight. Guest guest
Hi there, I'm new, but I thought I'd jump in on this one! I am terribly forgetful and get messed up on my meds and supplements all the time. The only way I can manage to keep them straight and not double-dose is to use a 7-day pill organizer that you can buy at your drugstore. There is a strip of three or four sections for each day that are labeled A.M., Noon, P.M. Bedtime or something like that. You sit down and fill them all with what needs to be taken when, then take each strip with you for the day (if you're out of the house) and take them at the appropriate time. That way, when the compartment for Tuesday night bedtime is empty, you know you've already taken them. It works for me. My Dad uses them too!
