Guest guest
> > Hello everyone! Today I went to the hair salon to get my color done again.Well I learned that my hair dresser has FM! I asked her what she did about that fatigue. She told me vitamin b-12 shots! I see my doc again @ the end of the month and I am going to talk to her about it. I did make the decision NOT to start taking the Cymbalta. I have no depression so whats the point really.Plus water areobics is REALLY managing my pain.I have been pain free for 3 days now.I am very happy that I started those classes now.Anyone else on the vitamin b-12 shots?? > I'm also on b-12 shots and have been for 2 yrs, at first I felt a big difference, but now I feel the same, as i did before it is almost like my body has build up a resistance to them! I keep getting them once a month tho because I was told if i didn't it could become very dangerous and even become fatal because I have b-12 def. I believe it is called pernusious enemia.{sorry about the spelling lol}Good luck and let us know how they make you feel! thanks Leanne > > --------------------------------- > Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
Hi Leanne, I'm sorry that the B-12 shots no longer work for you and that you have pernicious anemia. It must be scary to know you have to have the shots or you will become dangerously sick and now not to have them working on the FMS is the pits. Blessed be, Marti I'm also on b-12 shots and have been for 2 yrs, at first I felt a big difference, but now I feel the same, as i did before it is almost like my body has build up a resistance to them! Guest guest
, My rheum gave me info on the water aquatics thingie and I plan to check it out; I ended up in the hospital with my asthma before I could do so. I had wondered how it did for the pain aspect and your note is encouraging; I'm going to check into it for sure now, not just for the exercise aspect, but maybe, just maybe, it'll help with the breakthrough pain I get midday! I have no experience with the B-12 shots, but if others have and they work, well, I'll ask my PCP about those too! Anything to get a little more energy! Darlene > > Hello everyone! Guest guest
Water works well for me. I end up having a lot of fatigue afterwards but I can spend hours moving around and I enjoy being able to play with my nieces, nephews and grandchildren in the pool. I hope I can get a pool after I get my disability. If I can't get my medical to help I knowI'll be able to use it as a medical deduction as several of my drs want me in the pool. I also want a hot tub and a walk in tub. Ah the warm water theme!! Guest guest
from what I understand from my Dr., a Dr. prescribes B-12 shots when your body does not make/ store B-12 properly and your B-12 is low. My Dr. says I have to start getting them as soon as I get over this bug. > > I take the B12 pills once or twice a day and it helps a lot.
