Welcome .... glad you are here. we all understand. It is so hard also to

explain this stuff to someone we love or to friends. Many of them just won't

ever understand it. You have found the place where we do all understand

everything you are experiencing.

Hello Everyone!!

I thought I should introduce myself to the group. So here goes:

My name is and I am 26 years old, although I feel about 83 (my

chiropractor says i'm really only about 76).

I was diagnosed with Fibro a few months ago after a long two years of

being sick and fed lots of meds for whatever my diagnosis for the

month was. I live in York, PA... I live alone with my 3 year old

140lb Rottweiler named Maliki and his really bad black cat who is

going through her terrible twos. We call her Bad Kitty! but her real

name is Kitty Koal. These two are my reason for trying to get out of

bed everyday and my dog is often my live in nurse. I couldn't imagine

going through this without them.

My boyfriend is, well.. he's a great guy and my best friend but he's

going through a REALLY hard time dealing with me and my fibro. We

just recently had a " talk " about how he decides to deal with me when

i'm " sick " . He often gives me the cold shoulder when i am not able to

go into work or have to come home early because I can't walk. He is

only on day one of his " new attitude " so we'll see how that goes.

The weather here in PA is horrible!! Right now it's 16 degrees. i've

found that the cold weather, especially the really cold weather makes

me feel terrible. Today has been a terrible flare day. I couldn't

get out of bed, let alone walk up or down my steps. It feels like

someone hit me with a baseball bat on my elbows, my knees, back,

hips.. well pretty much everywhere.

I suffer from shaky hands, twitches, migraines, and most recently

planter fasciitis and chondromalacia. Basically, my feet and knees

give me horrible pain.

As for my job, well i'm on my fourth leave of absence, although this

one is only intermittent as I have my good and bad days (mostly bad

days this week and last week). I work at a local hospital here as a

Pharmacy Technician. I really love my job as i find drugs so

interesting.. What can i say? I'm a professional drug dealer.

Perhaps i can help those who are looking for information about a med

or two.. Keep in mind i'm certainly NO DOCTOR but i do have access to

lots of information. I myself am literally a walking pharmacy as i

take so many meds and have tried so many.. My " slightly supportive

boyfriend " likes to tell me that my kidneys are going to fail. Sigh.

I feel he's got a yelling or two coming his way.

Anyway, sorry this is so long.. didn't intend it to be. I just need

to find a place to vent and relate to people who are going through the

same shit as I am. I really need the support too!

Love and Hugs,

from PA

Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to

certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.

same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something

another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member

may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal

with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense

of humor.
