I hate this for you. I understand pain. I hope you do ok until April.

The thing we have to be careful about with the vicodin though is the tylenol

dose in it. I try to make sure I don't take too much. (as I said I don't

exceed my 3 tablets a day anyway but they each have 660mg of tylenol in them).

Sometimes if I hurt really bad, I take 1 1/2 tablets. This way I don't overdo

the Tylenol dose.

Hope you get some relief soon. Dr. shop if you have to. We have to do

something to try to get out of pain.

Debra V.

I understand . I truly do. I take my hydrocodone a little closer than every

8 hours sometimes.. More like every 5 or 6 sometimes. I never exceed the total

dose for the day though. You know what the pain is like. I don't blame you. No

one can function with this illness unless they get it under control....

especially with little kids at home.

I am with you.

I think you are right. I believe that oxycodone is actually a step up on

the ladder and is probably a stronger med.... I may have a day when I need to go

to oxycodone.

I don't have side effects from hydrocodone. I know alot of people would. I

don't. It actually takes away the horrible fatigue for a few hours, helps the

pain, and helps the brain fog alot. I just feel " normal " when I take it. It

has been a wonder drug for me.

Oh.... I do get constipated if I dont watch my diet and take something to

help.

The tylenol in Vicodin was 500 in mine (5/500) and I have switched to just

generic hydrocodone 5mg so that I can decide how much tylenol, ecotri, or

excedrin migrain I need. I can only take 3 in a day, but I do add the otc's to

it and it helps some. Advil doesn't help me at all.

It's not a large dose and I wish I could get more, but my doctor says that's

it. It would be nice to be able to take it 4 or 5 times a day or have 10mg. I

like everything else about my doctor so I'm warry about changing. I changed

doctors in Dec. 06 and it was really difficult finding someone that would work

with me.

Take care,

Marti

Hi , Yes Percocet is Oxycodone with tylenol. I think it is stronger, but

I'm not certain. Marti
