Guest guest
Since we're sharing about sisters, I'll try to explain my sister relationship. First of all, she is 3 years younger than me. Growing up, she did better than me in school, straight A's instead of my A's and B's. She maintains her weight well through diet and exercise. She claims she has the fat genes, too, and if she let herself go, she'd gain weight easily. I'm not totally convinced on this, of course. She is very smart, driven, has a PhD so she could teach engineering. I already said in a post yesterday that she used to be at OSU, and has since returned to our area and teaches at MSOE. I used to strive for perfection in the workplace also, but that of course upped my personal stress level which lead to my being disabled and unable to work. She and her husband decided not to have children. That is the most difficult thing for me to understand, as becoming a mother and wife were major goals for me. She's never been able to understand my sensitivity, and has often hurt my feelings. Now she just knows not to bring certain subjects up. So, we have a wierd relationship. I wouldn't say we're close, but we do love each other. I'm glad she's back in the area to help out with our parents as they get older. Guess that's enough info. for now. Guest guest
Strange how two sisters can be so different. That is the way my sister and me are. No one would ever guess she was my sister if they saw us side by side. Not only in looks, but also in our personalities. I do love her so much though. I wish she knew that. But if I don't have something to give her or do for her, she does not seem to need me at all. love, Debra V.
