Guest guest
Neda - I have tried the guafenisin treatment form Dr. St. Amand. As fatigue is my primary symptom, it was very difficult to notice any changes. My daughter who also has FM did seem to do better with the treatment. It helped with her skin hypersensitivity. But we both went off it in 2005, and haven't wanted to get back on the horse because of all the rules about not using salycilates. All natural plant ingredients are salycilates, and they are in everything these days. But what I was going to say is that there were people who swore by this treatment. So, it's an individual thing, as are all the treatments we try. I asked my " thinks-outside-the-box " doc about this. She said a number of her patients have tried it but had no positive results. Personally, I think that even if it works, the diet is so restrictive as to be impossible to keep. I can't and don't diet; that kind of thing would be out of the question for me. Imaginary cold front moving through so my imaginary fibro is in an imaginary flare today. :-/ Not too bad, actually; I'm considering doing my phys therp exercises which should knock me on my can for the rest of the day. And the cats are frowning at me asking why I didn't turn the sun on today. :::: sigh :::: Z
Guest guest
I did a guaifenesen treatment for myself. I'd take one mucinex in the A.M., then one at bedtime. After the initial painful flarey week, I felt great! I didn't change my diet though or eliminate all the things containing that thing I can't spell, but I did feel fabulous! djgraves9497@... wrote: > Neda - I have tried the guafenisin treatment form Dr. St. Amand.
