I have not had any but my Mom has. She doesn't have fibro but degeneartive disc

disease. According to her they worked wonders. I hope they help you also.

I have had the steroidal injections in my spine for degenerative disc

disease and they even seemed to help with the fibro. It has been 2

yrs since the last injection, (i took all they would let me) and my

back is still somewhat better, when I started the injections I was

dragging my left leg and it hurt constantly, that pain has not come

back THANK GOD. If they would let me I would take them again, even

with the weight gain that they can cause. I can lose weight by myself

but I can't stop the hurt by myself!!!

Dear

I have had trigger point injections for the last

10yrs.

Many of which have been in my scaplua in both

shoulders, in the area of the rotator cuff incision,in

the scalanene muscle of the head/neck region and most

recently my hip socket.

Some times they worked and some times they didn't.

however I have become allergic to the local anesethia

medication they mix with the steroids.

all of them,, so they now have to use a freeze spray

first and then inject immediatley.

the ones that worked were the ones in the shoulder

area.

These injections have been a life-saver for me with my herniated disc

and pinched nerves, which flare up periodically along with the

fibromyalgia. Although, I haven't had any weight problems due to them.

I like them because it cuts down on some of the pain medications. Also,

I have found that physical therapy with heat, Tens-type electrodes and

pool therapy at the clinic all seem to help with my pain and peace of

mind issues. If recommended, a tens unit for home use may help those

with recurring and isolated pain. >
