Guest guest
When I hypo, all I have to do is get sugar into me and then I level out. Have you seen a dr. or been to the hospital? I'm praying for you. Guest guest
Hi Jennie, I'm so sorry you've been so sick. Hypoglycemia can really affect everything in your body. It's not progressing into diabetes is it? I wish so much I could help you and I can tell how scared you are as anyone would be with all of those symptoms. Also having the hormone imbalance can cause so many symptoms. I pray you find the cause and can do something about it soon. I wish I could do more than pray, Blessings, Marti jenniesattic@... wrote: I haven't been around lately because I've been quite sick. I'm seriously hypoglycemic right now and nothing we've tried is helping. I need help fast! Having all sorts of symptoms and attacks day and night. Not sleeping b/c of them and this is scary to say the least! Tremors-all body, health palps, shaking, blurred vision...you name it, it seems I have it. I've been hypoglycemic forever but I've never been like this before. I'm doing the diet but it not helping. Also, found out I have a very severe hormone imbalance but haven't identified the exact cause of it yet. Seems I'm defiant in a couple vits and minerals as well. On supplements as well for them now. At least I'm a touch better than a week ago but it's still in the scary range and I never know from hour to hour what's going to set it off again. Arrrughhh. Oh well. Would help if hubby " got it " but he just doesn't. HELP! Thanks!!! ~Jennie, the lost Mod **************Biggest Grammy Award surprises of all time on AOL Music. Guest guest
How awful hon, you poor thing! I'm not hypoglycemic but hubby is or used to be. He had a physical at the doctor and mentioned how he goes into shakes at the first sign of hunger. He would pass out if he waited too long to eat. A year ago the doc put him on jenuvia for his pancreas, and he also has an underactive thyroid so he's on levoxyl for that. He no longer get those 'crashes' and the shakes - after ten years of marriage too. That was a first. The doc seemed to think it could be his blood sugar levels or his thyroid, or maybe both. Not sure if that is of any help, but it sure did help him by leaps and bounds. For many years if we were out and about and he said " I'm hungry " I'd say " hold out your hand " so I could see if he was shaking. If he wasn't shaking, then I knew we had time. If he was shaking, I knew we had to find him some food NOW. If you have any questions you want me to ask him, he has some compassion to spare because he totally 'gets it.' Guest guest
Jennie, When you are hypoglycemia you should stir a tsp sugar in OJ and drink it down. Other sugary juice would work also. When I worked in the hospital it was so busy and I couldn't stop to eat. My sugar bottomed out to 18. Please see your doctor and get a glucose intolerance test done. I had that and failed it. hugs, Debbie J > > I haven't been around lately because I've been quite sick. I'm seriously > hypoglycemic right now and nothing we've tried is helping. Guest guest
Sorry, can't offer any help except to wish and pray that you find the right solution soon. Hang in there. Guest guest
Jennie, I'm a Type 2 diabetic, not a hypoglycemic, but it sounds to me like you have multiple things going on - the hypoglycemia may be being triggered by the hormone/supplement imbalance? Just my thoughts. Hopefully, they can get you turned around. Until then, I would definitely keep the stuff with me that helps bring your sugar up (can't remember the name....lol.....darned brain fog!) and I don't think I'd do anything drastic without continously checking my sugar. Definitely keep in touch with your doctor's office, pester the hell out of them if you have to to get the answers you need. As for DH not getting it? Well, my DH thought I was making " being sick " a profession until I ended up in the hospital for 9 days due to my asthma causing respiratory distress. He found out that I do a lot around here after all and that I am needed in this family, regardless of how " sick " I am. I don't think he fully gets the fibro yet, we're still wrapping our brains around that diagnosis, as well as the COPD and cardiac artery disease one that I got in the hospital. I wish you well. I know you'll get the answers you need to get yourself straightened out. I myself take bio-identical hormones (vs. man-made synthetic) and since I've been on those, life is more on an even keel.
