I'd call a bankruptcy lawyer. I did when we had renters not paying rent in our

house we moved away from. They can assess the best approach for you.

OT Stupid creditors

I'm stumped. All of the sudden I've been notified that I have to go

to

Court against a local credit bureau for outstanding hospital bills.

These bills start 6 years ago! I had been making payments ($50-$100 a

month) until I just couldn't afford it. I've done all of the indigent

claims I can do, so that's not an option.

I just got off the phone with the company and the balance is over

$10,000!!! Even if I pay $100 a month it is going to take me 8 years

to pay it off! Then you add in the interest. I can NOT afford for my

wages to get garnished.

This is something I have never dealt with and I need help.

I do not qualify for food stamps, etc. because of my fiancee's income

so that won't help alleviate the stress.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I forgot to mention that I filed bankruptcy about 7 years ago. For

whatever reason, none of my medical bills from that time were put into

the filings. Maybe I need to contact the attorney again?

I'd call him. If this stuff is from way back then he might be able to do

something.

I had an attorney for a while and I always called him when I had questions; for
