Guest guest
I'm glad you can take Cymbalta. I started it last weekend and it was awful for me. I started on 30 mg and I felt sick and very nervous, axious and depressed. I was jittery and it felt like my heart was beating out of my chest. I didnt sleep all weekend. I decide to try it because even though the Lyrica was working with my pain I was gaining too much weight. Cymbalta was a disaster. I took it for two days and had to quit. I never could have gone to work feeling like that. I guess it is good for some but not others. I am going to stick with the Lyrica and watch what I eat and excercise to control weight gain. I hope this continues for me, as it's the best I've felt in a long time. When I went to my primary care doc, she also suggested I might try going to a chiropractor, just don't let him work on my neck. I am not going to do that for now, as the Cymbalta seems to be a good choice for me, at least right now. I feel so much less pain. Even my feet are feeling better, and that pain has been going on forever. So, I have to conclude that there is something to this Fibromyalgia diagnosis if a person can get relief from some combination of medications. While I realize this combo of meds works for some and not for others, at least I have renewed hope. :-) girlsaylor Happy moments, praise God. Difficult moments, seek God. Quiet moments, worship God. Guest guest
I just started taking Cymbalta 4 days ago. I have felt some better, still hurt, but feel like I can do more around the house than before. My depression seems some better. I don't sit around all mopey all day. I actually did alright today going around and paying bills, in person. I get panic attacks and have generalized anxiety disorder, which makes it difficult to go out in public. I am taking 20 mg of Cymbalta, 20 mg of Celexa, 100 mg of Trazodone, and 4mg of Tizanidine. Sleep is still not too good, but I feel better during the day. Hopefully this lasts. Guest guest
i also take cymbalta and it has been a miracle drug for me. it's the only thing i take for pain. i have been on it for about 5 months and have been pretty much pain free. i have been feeling a little pain in my legs the last few days but not much at all. but my doc did warn me i may have to increase my dosage sooner or later. which is fine. i haven't had any side effects and it has also increased my energy alot. i used to be soooo... tired (which i am sure u have gone through, also having fibro) and now i feel great, better than i have in years. i actually have had 1 side effect, loss of appetite. not completely but i have lost some weight. i do eat, just not as much or as often. other than that i have had none. how about you? have you had any kind of side effets? well i am glad to hear you are feeling better. i am happy to see someone else has had such a good result with cymbalta also. obviously it is not for everyone, but we are lucky. i also had the option of lyrica, and it may sound vain, but i have heard about so many people gaining alot of weight with it, so i don't wanna try it. supposedly alot of people get swelling in the hands and feet with it too. so i won't even bother. anyway, have a good evening jerilyn > > I'm on day 5 of Cymbalta, up from 30 mg to 60 mg now.
