Guest guest
Ra I live in S.E. Ark. where the weather changes at the drop of a hat. At one time I though Spring was the worst season for me but I've been in an almost constant flare for 18 mo. now. Weather patterns DO affect my condition. When we (Arkanansans) go from dry warm to wet cold conditions I do experience increased pain and stiffness and my Rheumee ruled out any forn of arthritis. It seams as if though no scientist has put a definte cnnection to weather and our conditions .. Hopfully in the future science will provides us w/more answers and more important more solutions! Guest guest
Please don;t knock yourself out but there are some great studies out there that depression and walking can be just as therapeauric as meds. Obviously walking even a little releases endorphins and that is a good thing. Remember walking can include a shopping trolley day although I tend to consider it more relaxing if its just a beach or scrub walk. Small and often is jusst as good as once in a while, and hell anything that beats pills is fine by me. any idea why weather affects symptoms? Guest guest
My therapist told me the same thing. Makes total sense to me but how does one get motivated to walk? Between lousy, wet winters, horrible allergies in spring.....oh heck, I can come up with a ton of excuses. One of my friends told me about Sansone. She has many DVDs of indoor walk-in-place programs. I've had one for a year and used it once. I need to DO THIS!! And I do adore retail therapy. I could say that FMS is a blessing when I'm at the mall because my 'drop' in 'shop 'til you drop' happens so much faster these days. a > > Please don;t knock yourself out but there are some great studies out there that depression and walking can be just as therapeauric as meds. Guest guest
Yes! Exercise of any form does wonders for anxiety and depression. I've been diagnosed with several mood 'issues' but after my body rejected every med there is (so it seems) I now exercise and do just fine without mood meds. Guest guest
I don't have any work out equipment at all, and I live in a pretty tiny cramped home. But what I do is walk around and around inside my home for thirty minutes. The cats get annoyed but I always feel amazing afterwards! a wrote: > My therapist told me the same thing.
