Guest guest
Hey everyone, My name is Tess and I am new to this group. I was first diagnosed with Fibromyalgia a few months ago. I was glad to hear some dr figure out what it is I have rather than being tossed around from 1 doc to the next. Yesterday was a really bad day for me as I had been up all night long because of being in so much pain in my knees and legs. Can anyone tell me what they use to help ease the pain? The doc put me on Ultram but I am not sure that is what is best. I have quite a long list of other medical problems as well.
Guest guest
Average number of midiagnosises before Fibro (7) Just introducing myself Hey everyone, My name is Tess and I am new to this group. 1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3. To unsubscribe the e-mail is: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group-unsubscribe 4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. 5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support. Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Thank you for the warm welcome. I wish I could find a place that even came close to offering water aerobics, but there is nowhere even close that would begin to offer something like that. I find myself collapsing to the floor so many times because the pain is too much for my body to bare. I try to get up and I end up collapsing again. It is both frustrating and extremely painful. I wish I knew what I could do to make the pain ease. I do have a question, I was wondering if some, if not all of you, have found that the cold makes the fibromyalgia worse? Thank you again. Guest guest
Hi Tess, I hurt more when the weather is colder. Mostly my skin is more tender and those tender spots start feeling like they are on fire when it's cold out. I feel better during the summer months than winter.
