Guest guest
Just thought I'd let u know I am up in Maine though the realtimers would call it down Maine?,,never could figure why, as I traveled up when I moved here! anyway, did u catch the help request from the member who lives in Ohio looking for a Dr? Also wanted to add I find your e-mails always interesting and hope u continue finding results with therapy sessions, I think that is what I need, but they want 120.00 an hr here. Since you are in that lovely state (who knew it was so pretty?, for years the only part I saw was from I57), but on a vacation trip back to San , we saw other parts! But I can't remember quite where you live in that state --- is it near the Mississippi? If so, then no doubt, you know to pronounce Cairo as Karo! (like the syrup!) Those of us who live or have lived in So. Illinois are always correcting people when they mispronounce some words. I do have problems these days since I have lived in the East for 17 years and I sometimes I have to remember how to pronounce words that were just an accepted thang! I do dread the June move --- one, some people will wonder where I really am " from " and then my sister-in-law will tell me I have to get out of So. Illinois fast as I have been there too long because my accent has reverted to my " southern " accent!!! And we natives don't even think we have an accent!!!! But I just realized that the eastern side of So. Illinois was basically settled by those who moved from Virginia, to Tennessee, to Kentucky and thence to SE southern Illinois and my husband's family moved from what is now New England to Ohio and then to SW southern Illinois, so few developed that Suthen accent. (did I spell Southern in the more correct Southern style??) Ok, ok, I know that was probably way too much info on patterns of speech but I have found it interesting as I have moved from So. Illinois to Kansas City, Sioux Falls, Massachuetts, Illinois, and now all of these years in PA. I do have to say that therapy session with my therapist was very amazing to me, especially in 21 years none of my therapists have ever pointed out how long and steadfastly this man fought for me!!! 20 years!!!! But the fear of abandonment had never really been a big part of my therapy sessions, nor did I have all of the info I have now! Please, someone tell me it is 3:30pm tomorrow!!!! My neck hurts so much I can hardly turn it!!! I think I need to go back to the medical supply place and see if they might have a cervical collar like the one I think I lost on a trip last fall. And my friend is still fighting the Big C! I think I would have given up that battle by now! But I already miss her, I know there will be no more letters, emails, phone calls and such great laughs!! Please remember her in whatever manner you choose. Thanks for listening. And I am glad someone enjoyed reading about my Monday and Tuesday this week! I just had to learn to time myself. And to the person who said it takes 2 days to drive to visit their family, we used to do it in one ----- no more! I even cancel rooms so we don't have to drive more than my body can take! > > > > > __________________________________________________________ > Connect and share in new ways with Windows Live. > http://www.windowslive.com/share.html? ocid=TXT_TAGHM_Wave2_sharelife_012008 > >
