I take requip for restless legs and effexslor also even when I take sonta for sleep I still donot sleep thru the night and I evwen have a c-pap for sleep apena. M<Y body never totally relaxes, I feel all the muscle are in a knot and very tight. It feels like my body is always ready to fight if I only had the energy to do so. Hopefully youn will be able to sleep some and can find the right combination of drugs to help. della hendersonville nc Need Answers Can't Sleep I am curious if anyone has trouble sleeping at night due to Lyrica? I do not know whether to contribute it to the lyricaor the fact I haven't had my trazadone in over a week. I still take 10 mg of ambien, so you think they would aid in me sleeping some. The last few nighs have been horrible. I need sleep bad....... Holly NC ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
I'm so sorry you are feeling so bad. Being sleep deprived on top of having fibromyalgia is indeed a terrible thing. I don't take Lyrica, so I can't help you with that me. But I do take meds to help me sleep at night and I believe I would have a hard time if I stopped taking them. I taked Trazadone, Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) (muscle relaxant), and Klonopin (clonozepan) (anixiety reducer), They each do their own thing in helping me go to sleep. I haven't ever taken Ambien either. Hope this helps some. Marti haheem74 wrote: I am curious if anyone has trouble sleeping at night due to Lyrica? Guest guest
I have taken Trazadone before when I couldn't sleep. If you were accustomed to having it, I would say, that would be your problem. I never took it on daily basis. I take Lunesta 3 mg now every night. I almost always get a good night of sleep. Sometimes I feel rested, some times I don't. > > I am curious if anyone has trouble sleeping at night due to Lyrica? Guest guest
Holly - Why were you taken off the trazadone? I was, too, several years ago, and I don't remember why anymore. I do think your problem stems from being dependent on the trazadone and not having it now. Ambien alone would not work for me. I take flexeril, a half-dose of Benadryl, and sometimes Nyquil like when I'm fighting a cold like I have been lately. I wish you a good night's sleep very soon, like tonight! Take care. Guest guest
I take lyrica at night and in the morning and they pull me down , and make me drowsy . I take tizidine(zanaflex) . So I sleep a good six hours or so and when I do get up , I'm ready to go . It makes your muscles relax and you get that fourth stage sleep that our bodys need so desprately . Hope this helps . Gentle hugs , Janet Peace,Joy,Hope and Love, right now I don't have any of my meds and I'm just going nutts . Just got to get to the pharmacy is all . I don't take ambien because it affects your memory more , well it does mine . Medications and people have to be sort of like uhhh a shoe , if it dotn fit right it don't work . While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your Dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3. To unsubscribe the e-mail is: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group-unsubscribe 4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. 5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support. Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Hi Holly, Insomnia from Lyrica, hmmn?? My doc started me on Lyrica a couple of months ago for my fibro. Started out on a low dose, didn't seem to help much. Then she bumped me up to 150mg twice a day (I was having a flare up at the time). A few days later, I came home from running a few errands, sat down to rest for a few minutes and have a cup of coffee with my best friend. She said all of the sudden I just slumped down in the recliner and fell into a deep sleep. She woke me to move over and lay on the couch. I slept on the couch for the next 20 hours straight!! No one could wake me up, best sleep I've had in years lol. Doc had to cut me back, the Lyrica just knocked me out. I saw her today and she wants me on it again, yuk! she said that they say that most fibro patients are on a dose of 150mg 3 or 4 times a day! wow. Got to go, DH is home from work and wants to play on the computer :-) Good thoughts to all, Kathi ---- Original Message ---- To: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group Sent: Saturday, February 9, 2008 11:01:22 AM Subject: Need Answers Can't Sleep I am curious if anyone has trouble sleeping at night due to Lyrica?
