The Things You Are

All the things you are;

Davinci's Mona .

Beethoven's Eloise.

Walter Benton's Lillian,

(who lost his sanity by loosing your love)

To me,

You are the morning knock at the door.

Your fingers cover my lips

so not to speak.

The expression on your face,

the pupils of your eyes

wordlessly say "Take me,

as I am love returning home"

You are this totally-

This daydream playing over and over

like phonograph record broken.

This fantasy, wish. This hope.

This nightmare...

The taste of some long ago yesterday

which refuses to die

or be reborn.

Your memory wrapped around me,

squeezing me lifeless

like a jungle python.

You are this fact I must accept.

You are gone. You are gone.

And all I ask is please

give myself back to me

so I can stay.

my heart broken from your love

extreme

is what my heart beats

with thoughts of you unable

to erase the pain

I had felt at one time

now able to notice the healing I need

to be given weather

your a famous art piece

or not I loved you

then as I will now

though myself

I will save from

the walls of an empty heart

that only knows your name in silence <3
