Guest guest
I recently heard that if your blood sugar is out of whack after you have entered perimenopause, that the insulin your body doesn't utilize just sits in the muscle tissue and causes inflammation and pain. before I go run up another medical bill that I can't pay talking to a Dr. and having my blood sugar tested-has anyone discussed this with their team and checked it out before? Were there any improvements after your blood sugar levels were evened out? Please tell me everything, as I am sick and tired of being in constant pain, with skin so sensitive to touch that I am seriously tempted to call of work so I can stay home and be naked. It hurts that much--all the time now. With no insurance, there are no visits to the Dr. and no pain meds except what I can get over the counter. Excessive amounts of those were causing unbelieveable bruising, so I stopped taking them much. Hence-pain that knocks me to my knees daily. Guest guest
I wish I knew the answer to that. I do understand the dilemma of no health insurance and limited money for doctors. I go through the same thing with the " can't afford to go to the doctor " too. I manage to go once a month for refills though. I might suggest something to you though. If you think your blood sugar is bouncing, do you know of anyone who is a diabetic and has a blood sugar meter at home? Maybe they would let you check your sugar a few times for a couple of days and see what it is doing. I know that if you were near my work, I would check it for you. (a little nursing home)... Of course I can't do that because of distance. But you might see if you can find one near you and just ask one of the nurses to check it a few times over about a 2 day period. I don't know about the blood sugar and insulin issues as they relate to pain. I think fibro is just a beast anyway and hurts no matter what. hugs, Debra V.
