It's my birthday and I am in Las Vegas with my closest friends and

family. For the weekend extravaganza we decide that we have to

choose places that are financially reasonable to eat at...so of

course we got to the famous Buffet's of Las Vegas. And on my

birthday the group chooses the seafood buffet at the Rio. And the

group is anxious as we get seated and they watch the buffet table

with all the selections. And what makes this story so funny is that

I am sitting at the head of a table of 15 people watching shells of

crabs and lobster being thrown into buckets, while they ohh and ahhh

about the different delicacies they are enjoy and when they (my

friends and family) come up for air from their plates they look at

the Birthday girl with her one stuffed crab and her 6 noodles and a

spoon full of salad and say... " is it good? " And the question is not

what is funny...it is the way they looked at me with faces that

said...we feel sorry for you missing out on all this good

food...lol. And I said... " it was really good,thanks " . And it really

was. And the gifts made up for all the food that I was not able to

eat...smile.

that even in the face of that you still can't gorge yourself with

food. the worst part is eating a bit in front of people then taking

a huge plate in the other room and goin at it hoping noone sees

cause your starving or worse your board and/or emotional. can't wait

to not be the circus freek! :) thanks for the hope.

I went to a few birthday parties and barbques over the course of the

summer. I got used to everyone watching what I eat and watching me eat.

What is even more amazing is I now watch what everyone else eats. People

get mad at me because I comment on what they eat. People eat alot. Its

amazing that people stuff their face.

Namaste,

It is crazy how much people eat! My Mom is overweight but not terribly so.

If we go to a buffet she can eat 2-3 plates FULL then a plate of desserts. I

can only eat one. I can't imagine how I will see it after surgery. My

husband is one of those scary people that can eat anything and everything.

Candy bars a few times a day, ice cream and he eats at least 2 bowls of

cereal before bed every night. He weighs 200 lbs soaking wet and is 6'5 " .
