Guest guest
Okay, so I'm sleeping away this morning when around 2 am, my knees feel like they are being ripped from my body! I feel around for my pain med, pop one and wait. After 45 minutes, I opted to get out of bed as my moaning was keeping my DH awake (although he has probably laid in there awake ever since), came out to the living room and got the heating pad on my knees. That helped somewhat and I have been able to hobble walk for lack of a better word to the computer room so I could at least post and/or answer emails. I don't want to cry because I keep thinking " this too shall pass " and yet, at the same time, feel like cutting my knees off! Since being diagnosed, I've had a few of these episodes with the pain always being in my knees. I know that as a teen, I did a lot of " damage " to them with various sports activities (practiced falls for flag corps, that kind of thing) and am wondering if anyone else has noticed when they have an area of pain flare up that that is an area where they suffered some sort of injury/trauma? I recall that my knees were so bad one time, they were going to drain the fluid from them. Right now, they feel horribly inflamed, and yet I cannot think of anything I did in the past several days that would have brought this on! So I guess my silver lining is I'll have all my emails caught up by the time the family gets up and will be able to get the running I " have " to get done finished up early! After that, it's baby the knees time...... Darlene
Guest guest
Darlene, good morning. I have had 3 neck and 1 back surgeries and let me tell you that is where I hurt the worst. I 2 have pain i my knees for some reason. I do think our " injured parts " hurt worse. Some days tho, everywhere hurts and I just want to be left alone in my misery. I have vicious headaches for the past week that hurt so bad I can't even think. It seems there is a new hurt everyday. But I shall have to deal with it if i am to remain amongst the living. Hope your knees start feeling better soon. Take it easy girl. hugs Little LINDA --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo! Search. Guest guest
Thank you Little ! As I wrote to Debra, I think we flare more where we have suffered an injury because cells never forget....lol...I just wish mine would do it a little later in the morning so I could get a full night's sleep! My back flares too - have had sciatica forever and just sweeping can bring on the back spasms. Today the recliner has been my " best friend " because I tossed the heating pad over my knees and put a blankie on and by the time I woke up, the pain was gone!
