Hi, a!

Welcome to the list. You'll make such a great addition here. I also belong to Atkins Challengers, and seldom post, although I read all the e-mails. Seems this little list keeps me pretty busy, and now with baby Duncan here, it's even busier.

So, settle in and enjoy yourself. You'll find some familiar faces here, and you'll get to know many more wonderful people!

Also if you tie the leash to you it is easier to keep an eye on the pup. Or so

the people on my poodle and bichon lists say. And I used to interrupt their play

time with a pee break. Because it happens so fast. They'll be playing and the

next thing you know they're squatting. Oh and when you take them out if you give

a verbal command like go potty when you see them squat they will learn to go on

command. Sometimes I have to remind mine why they are out there!

To KC,

I'm sorry to hear your myo was not successful. You say you are not keen on

the " microspheres " therapy. Are you talking about the UAE or uterine artery

embolization procedure? You said you are afraid of an allergic reaction.

I am allergic to a lot of things and I had the procedure and had no problem.

The dr gave me medication to take before the procedure since I'm highly

allergic and didn't want me to have any reactions. I've never heard or read of

anyone who had an allergic reaction to the particles used in the UAE.

I had good results from my UAE and if I ever have problems again, I can then

go explore other options. Could you just have a consult with an IR? I

explored all my options other than hysterectomy and was glad I did.

Good luck to you with whatever your decision is.

I personally have known three women who had what they considered to be

positive experience with hysterectomy. My sis, a niece and a woman I worked

with.

My niece and the woman had hysterectomies for excessive bleeding. They both

think its great. No more periods or pain. My sis had a hysterectomy after

being diagnosed with cervical cancer. She said that it was no problem.

Hi Shari, I was diagnosed this year with Eds. I have a 14 month old

daughter but I got told she was to young to be diagnosed. I was told she

would have to be at least 5 years old,so I was wondering if you would mind

telling me the name of the Doctor who diagnosed your daughter & at which

hospital?

Can you also explain to me what kidney reflux is & is it conected to Eds?

My daughter has just had a water infection, it took 3 lots of antibiotics

to clear it. The doctors originally told me she didn't have a water

infection, but about 8 weeks later I got a phonecall to say she did & could

me put another sample in to be tested. I think it could of been cleared up

quicker if she had antibiotics sooner. In a couple of months she has to

have a scan of her kidneys to see if any damage has been caused by the

water infection. Thats why I was wondering if kidney problems are conected

to Eds?

Does anyone other than your daughter have Eds in your family?

Hi :

I just had my surgery on September 7 and I too have a one year and

because I wanted to be able to keep up with him I decided on the

surgery. I can't wait to be down to my goal weight and chasing

after him with getting out of breath and all sweaty.

Hi Tina. Welcome to the group. We are a FaMily.

It is getting more difficult to get SSD these days, and almost everyone is

denied their first time around. All I can say is appeal, appeal, appeal.

If needed, get a lawyer to help. I was diagnosed about 10 years ago, and

was fortunate to be approved for SSD on the first try. Besides FM, they

also listed morbid obesity, depression, anxiety disorder, and degenerative

disc disease. I would think with the things you listed, you should

eventually be approved. It's just harder these days because of the problems

with the SS funds, they try to get people to give up. So keep on fighting

and keep us posted. Happy New Year to you, too.

Anyhow... I am hoping to find more information about what I have and why SS

wont approve me. Does anyone else have everything that I have? I am finding

everyone I meet that has Fibro has something else but not the same as I do.

Thank You for letting me join and I want to wish everyone a " happy new year "

Welcome to the group Tina. It is a great one.

Wow you have alot to deal with.

Just want to say that I have not applied for SS.... but I do know they turn

everyone down several times before they ever approve anything. Keep on trying.

I am 43. We are about the same age. I was diagnosed about 5 years ago I

suppose. I am still working full time with much difficulty.

Welcome again,

Debra V.

Hi my name is and I have been a member but a lurker in the

group for a while. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in June 2007, and

on top of being diagnosed with anxiety disorder I have had my share off

ups and downs with this, anyway I have had a few bad weeks in a row as

of late. I spent 2 days in the hospital because of an irregular

heartbeat some light headedness, and the most awful headache I have

ever had thus far in 35 years of life. Years ago I had 3 back surgerys

and for a while the pain of that was not bad but now it always hurts

from my neck all the way down to my knees and every once in a while my

head joins the awful party my body throws too. I went to er on the 3rd

of this month and the doctor gave me Zanaflex to make the headache stop

and it worked pretty well and helped me to get the sleep that slips out

of my foggy grasp on a daily basis no matter what I take, but after a

few days I was back to sleeping 3 to 4 hours, and on the days it hurts

the most isn't that the day everyone wants to touch you and grab on you

sometimes I don't think that people get it. Well I feel a little better

that I got that off my chest, I might go take a nap today is not too

bad of a day. Back into the shadows I lurk, thanks for listening.
