Metrocream contains metronidazole, which has

anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Metrocream contains no cortisone or any other steroid,

to my knowledge.

Topical steroids should be avoided by rosaceans.

Cortisone used daily will appear to help the rosacea

symptoms for a while, but they will come flaring back

with a vengeance, as I have learned first-hand.
