Guest guest
It is my understanding that Scandinavian countries, especially Sweden, have a higher "percentage" of patients with PSC than any other country in the world. I checked the message board archives but didn't see any reference to this in the past. Is there other literature that refers to this? This makes a strong case for the genetic etiology of PSC. But how can this fact help us? (e.g. we recently discovered that my husband's great grandmother was indeed Swedish). I haven't come across a research institute or otherwise trying to uncover the gene that may cause the disease (if one can really phrase it this way). I also haven't yet delved into this as I'm not sure how this knowledge can help.
