Guest guest
When hubby gives me a hug, his hands go on my lower back, kind of upper butt but not butt if that makes any sense. I hide my cringing. I never want him to know that a hug hurts, but it hurts! It makes me angry at IT that a hug from my loving husband hurts like that. debra van ness wrote: > I was just sitting here earlier and my 10 year old walked in the room. I said " give me a hug sweetie " .... she bent over and her chin touched my shoulder and I thought I would hit the ceiling. It feels like someone has beat me there with a hammer. My knees hurt too and I have that horrible ache everywhere. > I hate this disease. Guest guest
Melody - Just ask him not to squeeze. He can hold you gently without it hurting, can't he? He sounds like a great guy and I'm sure he'd understand. I know you don't want to give into the monster. You want to defy it. But is it worth the pain? Guest guest
>Melody have you tried trigger point therapy? It does help. I bought a book and my husbend helps me to reach the ones I cant. It does take the pain down to point you can get love and embraces from your guy without screaming out. You look for the hard lumps in the muscle and now the hard part=== push down on it for 20 seconds and it will relax, aleast enough to slow the pain. Hope it helps you, > Melody - Just ask him not to squeeze. He can hold you gently without it > hurting, can't he? Guest guest
He knows where it hurts, but sometimes he just forgets I guess. I love his hugs so much and usually it doesn't hurt to hug, but this week is just brutal for me. Normally we can hug and it not hurt. I wish I could give him the world though. You all have no idea how much that man does for me. He's truly an angel on earth. djgraves9497@... wrote: > Melody - Just ask him not to squeeze. Guest guest
No I haven't tried that, I'll have to look into it. Normally the intensity of pain isn't this bad, but this week has just been brutal and it's like a bad flare. >> Melody have you tried trigger point therapy? It does help. Guest guest
Melody, Has your doctor tested your bilirubin or done and ultrsound on you, just for the sake of knowing or to make sure it might not be your gallbladder giving you a time of it. Do you have any pain under your right rib cage too. Guest guest
No tummy pain today, and my gallbladder is a-ok. I don't usually deal with abdominal pain unless it's an ibs day (way lower abdominal) or female related. If I'm nervous or stressed, my actual stomach might hurt. But today my tummy feels really good! I guess I haven't had a bilirubin test because I don't know what that is. When I flare, it's my back, arms, hips, upper 'butt' area (just below the back just above the butt), insides of my elbows and inner arms, inside of my legs/knees, neck, shoulders, back oh wait I already said back. I have an all over achiness and feeling like I've been beaten. Today I worked out, took a naproxen, and had a hot bath. The pain level went down several notches and I feel better than I did when I woke up.
