Guest guest
, Don't quote me, but since we are suffering from an auto-immune disorder, any and all getms are going to affect us far worse than the typical person who has an immune system that is NOT compromised. I am the same way. I am almost a germaphobe now. If my kids sneeze, I'm pulling out the thermometer to check them and not letting them kiss me on the lips and making them wash their hands tops and bottoms a slew of time. So I would say yes, we DO tend to go to the extremes when it comes from a cold. I had a tickle in my throat (no coughing) and it ended up being bronchitis, which exacerbated my asthma and landed my butt in the hospital for NINE days! Thankfully I'm home. Still weak, have a flare going on in all the spots that were impacted by that lovely bed (NOT!) but I know that I'll recover. Good luck on your doctor's appt! I would suggest, although I'm not sure how you can do it - is build your son's immune system too so he doesn't come home with stuff!
