Guest guest
I have both acne and rosacea so the trick for me is to be able to treat the acne without flaring the rosacea. I tried cea LTD discs and found that they did nothing for my rosacea but the blackhead problem worsened. I found them to be pretty rough and granular which did not feel very good on my skin. I returned them and got a refund. I have been using the A/R cream and find that it works pretty well for both conditions. I have not found the A/R cream to be particularly irritating but I am not in that extremely sensitive category that many of you are in where almost anything burns. I always use either vita oil or emu oil before I apply it. I have also tried the N.V Perricone products which he claims work well on rosacea. After three attempts I gave up and got a refund. Although it did not burn on application I found that my skin got really tight and drawn-up looking and burned and stung whenever my face got hot. I have begun using zinco recently and have trouble with it staying on my face in this hot humid July weather in the midwest. I also have found it to be a little dark for me. If I don't make sure that it is rubbed in very well I have a line around my jaw. Hope this is helpful. ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: ceaLTDvs.A/R Cream Author: sentto-1115099-3813-962816658-ssciara=email.usps.govreturns (DOT) onelist.com at INTERNET Date: 7/5/00 1:10 PM Hello, Has anyone ever tried both of these creams/treatments before? If so or if you have tried some of them could you tell me how they worked for you? Guest guest
, I tried both. The cea Ltd. disks were too harsh for my skin. The A/R cream was drying but worked okay if I used moisturizer before using the A/R, and if I used only a small amount of the A/R. With both products, the sulfur smell was very unpleasant, enough so that even my husband complained about it. I am having very good luck with the 02 cream, and like it better than anything I've used in the last two years (since I was diagnosed), including metrocream and noritate. You can get a sample of the 02 cream from Pat Knowles (e-mail is medaesth@...). Good luck. Guest guest
Hi . I have never tried the cea LTD, but I am currently using the A/R cream. I had to go off of my antibiotics...the A/R cream has been a godsend! I have the oily/acne type of rosacea, so I don't need any moisturizers (although they sent me a sample of the emu oil for free along with my A/R order, at purpleemu.com).....the cream does tend to be very drying. It also does smell! I noticed this much more at first, and decided to just thoroughly apply the cream before bed and only spot touch in the mornings as a result. I have gone from red to pink and my skin looks GREAT(relatively speaking). Please, let this last! I have also tried Sy's Zinco. I would definitely recommend this product, although the greasy/shiny feeling tended to bother me some. I am a green-eyed, fair complected blonde....the color was too dark for me, blended pretty well after it dried, but always left my face a bit orange looking in comparison to my neck and torso. included a sample of the Vita Oil with my order, which I also would recommend. Hope this helps, in hot hot hot KC, MO > Hello, > Has anyone ever tried both of these creams/treatments before? > If so or if you have tried some of them could you tell me how they > worked for you? > Thank you, >
Guest guest
I may be the only person who likes that ZincO is a bit shiny or dewy. That texture makes it disappear into my skin and makes it look like I have no makeup on. I guess I'm coming from years of heavy, opaque foundations to cover up the rosacea and bumps. I hated that look! It's so nice to have a coverup that looks like you don't have any makeup on. For me, it's enough coverage to do without makeup and my skin looks normal. I know others feel differently, and I don't blame you, but I think ZincO is perfect for me. Matija >
