Guest guest
Hi Hazel, didn't mean to sound like my way is the only way, but for me the diet has been most important. Also drinking plenty of water/liquids, like ten glasses a day helps me. I occasionally use a cream, usually a Vitamin K cream. I recently was given a sample of a moisturizing cream from the Vitamin Shoppe and it seems to help overnight with bumps. It is made by Derma-E and is a Pycnogenol creme with vitamins E, C and A. Have no idea what is costs. The phone is 1-. Regards, Kate
Guest guest
Hey Mark, I agree so much with your diet. I worked for the Edgar Cayce organization for years and the Cayce diet recommendations are a lot like yours. Thanks for the comments! Tonight I ate with friends at an Italian restaurant and we dipped bread in very rich and thick olive oil with herbs. It's good to know it's helping for my skin. Guest guest
Hi Kate, I agree completely, the olive oil supplies the natural skin lubrication. I never have dry patches any more and I could wash my face with dish detergent and still retain moist facial skin. P.S. Your dinner sounds great, when are you going to invite me? Only kidding, ha ha. Take care, Mark kate23451@... wrote: > My personal theory is that we need to moisturize from the inside with the > right kind of oils. Guest guest
Hi, I have read that large amounts of flax seed oil are not beneficial but I have not seen any figures on what is too much. But EPA and flax seed oil contain a higher ratio of saturated and polyunsaturated fats than olive oil. So it also depends on the other sources and amounts of fats in your diet. They are necessary, so if you have a small amount of fat in your diet it should be ok. If you have a large amount from other sources like meat, you may wish to cut back to half that amount. Olive oil will work well in conjunction which other oils because it has such a low ratio of saturated fat. It is very high in monounsaturated fat and this high density fat will break up the lower density that clog your arteries. It all comes down to the amount of fat in your diet to determine how much saturated fat you need in the oils that are added. Olive oil is one of the few oils that can be used in large amount and still retain it's healthy benefit. And it can help balance choresterol levels.
