Anyone out there who has had similiar problems I have had this before...Very severely the first time I had it...They diagnosed me with labrynthitis, which is just a viral type infection that settles in the inner ear...Not much u can do for it , but rest and I was given Antivert (generic is meclizine) which you can buy over the counter now from drugstore.com fairly cheap..I think I paid $9.00 for 100 pills..... It usally takes about 2 wks to a month or so to totally clear up...Sometimes I have what u are describing also off and on, and they call it BPV (benign positional vertigo) which happens bending over, looking up, turning over in bed...Ever since I had the lab, I notice I have this off and on, maybe it compromised my inner ear system, but it only lasts a few seconds.. Hope u feel better **************Biggest Grammy Award surprises of all time on AOL Music. Guest guest
Hi , I have a friend with miniere's disease, and there is even a link in the links section of the group about it. It's what she refers to as a vertigo disorder. Otherwise, I get what I call 'elevator' head all the time during allergy season, due to my sinus and allergy issues. I don't like it much at all, sometimes it feels like I just rode up an elevator. Sometimes I'll get a swimmy headed feeling too. For me I find relief with mucinex and a decongestant. I'll also soak in a hot bath to loosen some of that up. Not sure if either of these things are what you are dealing with, I just thought I'd share in a way to give you some ideas. Hope you are feeling better! Hugs, Melody wrote: > Beginning on Thursday, I walked about five feet from the computer > stand to pick up something in the living room.
