HI Anita,

Thanks for sharing that. I do have that kind of problem at certain

places also. When I went to the imaging center for my tests, the asks

me the same questions I just answered. Also it happens at my big

clinic, too. Gets so frustrating to respond to the questions twice.

Yep it's fibro... Had something like 15 of the tender spots (better

known to my husband as the .....don't touch me there spots!!!!!)

I would have to stay in a motel room in Cleveland for up to a month

and go to their clinic on a daily basis...I do not know ANY one that

could afford that...so I'm back at square one...looking for a doctor...

Anita, I enjoyed hearing your answers to the questionnaire! I have

answered a number of them myself in the same way! How else can they

be answered, really? This is such a difficult thing to describe, no

wonder people wonder about us! LOL!!!

I wanted to let you know that I also went to a pain management clinic

about 60 miles away from my home. They were able to arrange my

appointments so that I only had to go 2-3 times a week. It was still

expensive, and it was actually very stressful for me, but I made it

through and learned a lot.

Maybe they can design a schedule that is workable for you. Maybe they

have cheaper rooms at the hospital...the ones where family can stay or

where people who don't need hospitalization for their treatments can

stay. Just a thought.

FROM Janet in Texas

Those forms do make me laugh , and it is aggravating too . I can remember

at this time and not the next time . It just all depends on the day (LOL)

tis true it is . As for the hotel thing have you thought of staying in a

shelter? Because holtels can be $$$ when that could be used on the

treatments ect . Oh hubby just mentioned the Y . I mean uhh YMCA . Or maybe

find someone from the group or friends to stay with . We live out here in

the boonies and travel fifty miles to Lufkin and more miles to Nacogdoches.

Its even further to Beaumont . But we never stay anywhere. Even when his dad

had uhh radation treatments in Houston , they drove back and forth every day

(I couldn't handle that ) But anyway I just thought maybe this would help .

I'm new here and don't really know all the details so please forgive me ,if

its alrready be done . I do wish you the best and may the Lord be with you ,

amen . Gentle hugs , Janet

-- Ever experienced this???

Now before I tell you the what part of this email....let me say this...when

this was going on, and I was in the moment, not only did I want to pull my

hair out, but I wanted to pull the hair out of the nurse seated across from

me...let me explain...

Couple of weeks ago, I was sent to the Cleveland Clinic to a pain management

doctor. When I arrived at 9 AM I was handed a 300 question, questionaire.

Now, those of use who know the thrill of " FibroFog " know that our memory

just sucks! LOL... Thank God I had my hubby sitting next to me...he has the

memory of an elephant (that IS the animal with the good memory right?? I don

t remember...LOL). Okay back to the questions... There was a WHOLE section

I skipped...deliberately.... Boy was that a mistake...I spent 2 hours

explaining why I didn't answer the questions dealing with abuse as a child..

but I digress..

After completing this little gem of a paper...we were called back to the

doctors office....and would you believe his nurse sat at a computer and

asked me EVERY single question that I had just answered on the paper....Now.

.. I am SURE we have all been through this...and it's funny now...but it wasn

t then....

The questions (Q) comes from the nurse...

The answers (A) come from me....

Here is how the first hour went...

Q. Where do you hurt...

A. Depends on the day and what I'm doing.

Q. What kind of pain do you have...

A. Depends on the day and what I'm doing.

Q. Is it a stabbing pain...

A. It depends on the day (heck the minute) and what I'm doing.

Q. Do you have numbness...

A. Sometimes...depends on the day and what I'm doing...

Q Where do you go numb...

A. Depends on the day and what I'm doing...

Q. How long does the pain last...

A. Depends on the day and what I'm doing.

See a pattern here??? LOL... She didn't find me amusing...matter of fact..

she got angry...but good grief people...I have fibro...do ya know the signs,

and symptoms????? *snickers*.

This question answer time went on for an eternity....by the end of the day..

Yep it's fibro... Had something like 15 of the tender spots (better known

to my husband as the .....don't touch me there spots!!!!!)

But the kicker of the whole thing...they can help me, but that means I would

have to stay in a motel room in Cleveland for up to a month and go to their

clinic on a daily basis...I do not know ANY one that could afford that...so

I'm back at square one...looking for a doctor...

Just thought I'd share
