Anita: I live in Ohio but I really do not know of any

doctors that really listen to a person. Where in Ohio

do you live? Have you thought about going to an

emergency room since you are in pain? A couple of

weeks ago I was having chest pains and shortness of

breath and I went to the emergency room. They treated

me very well and I am now under going tests to see if

I have an heart problem. You are in my prayers. I wish

I could help you but I really do not know of any

doctor that is willing to listen.

Sharon...it's so sad that no one has a doctor that will listen to them....I

have a family doctor that has always listened to me, but...she's still not

back from heart surgery....and I have NO clue when she'll be back. As far

as the emergency room...can I be honest? I have been treated so badly by

certain doctors that I'm afraid to go...what a nightmare!!!! I do however

want to thank you for responding...what part of Ohio are you in? I'm about

an hour and a half north of Columbus. I just called the " group " of doctors

that my family doctor is with, I was told over a week and a half ago that

they would be setting up an appointment with a doctor in Columbus...all I

got was an answering machine...so I left a message...I'll be old and gray

before they call back...lol...ooohhh wait, I'm already old and gray...let's

see just how gray I become before they call me back...

1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list

as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your

dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well

as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.

2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't

be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that

situation better.

4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at

the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take

something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things

that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even

though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple

illnesses try to keep a sense of humor.

5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls

let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support.
