Guest guest
My sweetie has a c-pap and since he has accidently tossed his arm across my neck in his sleep...* hmmmmm* maybe there is a subconsious thing going on. But we now sleep in different beds. We play in the same one of course mine and he loves it. I think the topper cost me apx. $80 including shipping and I used my birthday money. I love it. Only bad thing I did was get a King sized topper and my bed is a queen, it slipps a little at night. If I am in real pain I can fold it in half and just make sure I nestle in the middle of the bed for a comfy sleep. It has been worth it now 2 years.....I would love to get the new down pillows and comforter but all night long on and off blankets, I also sleep with a fan on every evening. And sometimes a heater at the same time. I do need air moving or I feel like I am going to sufficate. I now have only micro fleece blankets and that is eaiser. My feet and legs used to feel chapped in the morning. My RLS has stopped mostly becasue my doctor has started me on Flexeril evenings with my elivil. Infact the first several weeks I slept so still when I awoke in the morning my ribcage hurt. ddean228 wrote: Deborah, Because I figured it might be awhile before I could convince DH I " needed " one of those beds, I went to overstock (they are having a free shipping weekend...lol) and got a 3 " " cool " topper (because he sweats horribly). I am hopeful that it will help my cause in the long run...... Our finances took a hit too when I went from full-time work to disability; thankfully, we had started working the Dave Ramsey plan (total money makeover) and despite the fact that I now bring in about 1/2 of what I used to, plus DH got fired from his old job and is in a new one but at their starting salary which is less, we have managed to pay off a tremendous amount of debt. We still have a ways to go, but I am encouraged, you know? Because I don't think, and neither do my providers, chiropractor or reflexologist, that I will EVER be able to go back to a " traditional " 40 hour a week job. I get up in the morning " drag-assing " just to take the kids to school (we got them transferred to a better school so we have to transport them) and sometimes, I come home and nap for a few hours. Then I worry about what has to be done in the house. Right now, DH is redoing our flooring for mine and our daughter's allergies (hers are severe; mine are pretty bad). So my housework has dwindled....lol... Darlene > > The bed topper I got from Overstock .com has helped a lot. It is good quality and just needs a good puff now and again. I will never be able to affort one of those temperpedic beds I am pretty sure. I am afraid I have dragged my family down into a deep well with my sickness. > > WING and a PRAYER RATTERY, AVIARY AND KENNEL Sticks & Stones ( handpainted rocks and driftwood carvings) For sale on Ebay EBay ID... robdale54 --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? But since the pains went on for so long that first time and then didn't reoccur until the same time the next spring, I knew it wasn't from him thrashing around in bed while asleep! Could have been a good excuse for physcial abuse when I did file for divorce but by that time, I never knew when it would happen. However, I can no longer sleep in same bed with present husband for several reason, although, we have managed to do so in king size beds while travelling over the past 7 months. Which is what we may get when we move this summer. That way we might sell or give away the queen size sleep number bed, keep the double and try a king --- that's a new thought! And especially because one of the problems is, if he goes to bed before I do, or even at the same time, he can't stand my reading in bed. This last trip, though, I found a much smaller reading light that is on a twisty wire that I can angle so it doesn't shine as much as others I have tried. And the only way I can go to sleep is by reading! If I turn a light out, I am tossing and turning for longer than I would otherwise! Mind races when it isn't ocuppied -- habit since childhood. Guest guest
Hi Deborah, I thought I was the only person who slept with a fan on even in the winter. I also have an air purifier going. I have to have air moving in the room or I can't sleep. I take flexeril in the evenings also; it helps with the muscle cramps that are bad when I get up because I move so much in the bed.
