Guest guest
Thanks , And the rest of you for your advise. I will give the Anitrip. a try but keep my guard up. I don't need to gain weight nor get addicted. I will make sure to get the liver checked. I have only been on Anitrip. for a few days now and it is ok. I think I like the Trazadone better. My doctor told me that it is my choice. My insurance will cover both, and the cost to me is about the same. (my doctor is really good) my insurance just won't cover the Lyrica or anything really help full. I will try and keep " the monster family " updated. thanks again everyone. Adela > > > Adela, > I took Trazadone for a mo. & the was switched to Amitrip. and stayed on Amitrip. for 19 yrs. and when I was switched to Lexapro I couldn't handle the side affects. I go to a state funded mEntal health facility where than counldn't give arats A** about thier clients(VENT). > > My PCP checked my liver every 6mos. and my liver was always fine. Back to giving up anitdepressants(Ididn't mention that) but wham seretonin dropped an the MONSTER bit hard. At one point in time my pychee appts. where postponed time after time and an enept nurse over heard the dr. say he would give me more Amitrip. > He meant he wouldn't increase dose when the nurse thought he meant amitrip noe longer therefore when I ran out I called nurse and she said he wont give your more I tried to explain what he meant to no avail. > Aitrip. withdrawl SUX. > > I called my thereapist and explained so she went to the Dr. but he didn't have time to listen so she went to another Dr. and explained so he gave me Trazadone for 2 mo. and getting sleep was somewhat precarious. > With Amotrip. comes wieght gain but it DOES help w/pain. > > IF you switch to Amitrip. have your PCP check your liver periodically and expect weight gain. > I can't really advise you what to do but only tell you what to expect w/Amitrip. > Amitrip might be worth a try however I'm taking Celexa and it is available in generic so if you don't have insurance it should be affordable. Celexa wont help w/sleep but I take Lunesta after taking Ambien for over a year. Ambien is now available in generic as well BUT not as affordable as Amitrip. MY 2 cents. > > > This may be a hard decision to make so do YOUR research and take your time and make your best decision. > GOD Bless ! ! ! . . . ....................................... . .. . > > IF > GOD grant me the serenityto accept the things I cannot change the courage to change the things I canand the wisdom to know the difference. I like it very much. But my doctor suggested that I try Amitriptyline.(50mg.) cause it can help with the pain more. She gave me one month supply and told me to stop taking the Trazadone and to try this. Which one is better? I went to Webmd and they are both in the same family of medicine. Ya! antidepressants. I don't like that Amitriptyline can cause Yellowing of the skin. That means it is hard on the liver. It will be interesting to see what you all take and what affects you have. thanksAdela[Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > > > > > > _________________________________________________________________ > Need to know the score, the latest news, or you need your HotmailĀ®-get your " fix " . > http://www.msnmobilefix.com/Default.aspx > >
