Guest guest
thanks for that info, mary, i did buy and try a couple of his supplements. the energizing powder and the herbal sleep formula and the b-complex. i feel like the sleep and b-complex are helping, but i need a different multi vit/min instead of his powder because i have soy allergy and his powder has alot of soy in it. his book recommends taking magnesium and calcium before bed, and it seems to help me sleep better. but because i will have finished reading his book before i may make an appointment, i will firmly tell the doctor there that i have tried many meds/supplements/herbals and i need scripts for things i have not tried that have not helped. it takes courage to stand up to these people, but i feel i have no options, no other docotrs have helped me much at all. i had to quit taking flexeril at night it was making me worse. all i wanted to mention is that his book has alot of ideas and combinations of not just meds, but vitamins, minerals and herbals for people to try to see which combinations work best for them. i have no financial interest or any other interest, i just cannot sit around and complain about this stupid disease, i have to try to feel better and function better because i cannot afford or want to quit work and go in social security disability. anyone with fibro or cfids should buy and read the book and try some of his recommendations. it is the most comprehensive and explanatory book i have read and it is written by a doctor who has the diseases, himself and overcome them with his own research and treatment. it does get tiring having to read and search myself and play doctor, but noone else has given me much help, so i have to keep trying something. take care, marg > Well, if I can weigh in on the fibro/fatigue centers at this point? > I have to say that I went to the center here in early October, got > the shopping bag of supplements, the scripts including one that they > had a compounding pharmacist prepare, a vitamin B shot and then 5 > minutes away to have an inordinatly large number of vials of blood > drawn for testing.
