Guest guest
This reminds me of a wonderful chapter from Geneen Roth's book, "When you Eat at the Refrigerator, Pull Up a Chair". The chapter is aptly entitled..something along the lines of "Handling a Fat-Day Attack". Many years ago when I first began sinking in to this work, I had a therapist who asked me what I was feeling and I responded with, "I feel fat". She assured me that "fat" is most certainly not a feeling. I argued with her naturally, but have discovered that she was right (imagine that). Today, when I'm convinced that I feel "fat" or that I am fat, it's simply a baraometer letting me know that something else is going on...i.e. I don't feel safe, I'm lonely, I'm upset about something somone said or something I said to someone else, etc. Namaste, Cheers!
