Guest guest
My car died On 695 East about 5-9 miles after the Key Bridge (MD) In the left lane. Going about 65-70 miles per hour. It was the timing belt. Did I mention that the left lane had a jersey wall (no shoulder)? Did I also mention that I don't have AAA? Guess who is looking into that? Guess who has no extra money to deal with this extra bit of frustration? ----------- I'm still trying to decompress and I'm still rather " upset " for lack of a better word. After the one mechanic looked at this morning there was nothing they could do except refer me to my dealership for my type of car. The time belt did go. Now my engine is destroyed. It is going to cost me $4,000 to get it fixed. Before you all start lecturing about the cost vs. worth... I know and it really is the best option for me. But the past 24 hours have been really not good to me and now my body is giving me a huge " FU " . Thankfully, I was NOT hit while sitting for the police to arrive. They had to shut down the road where I was on 695 to get my car out of the road. There was much drama with my parental units while trying to deal with the police and other things at the same time. I had to be up at 6:30 a.m. to get to the car place by 7 a.m. to deal with that. I'm feeling a bit fried right now to say the least but everything is taken care of as much as it can be. *cry* I won't be very active or reading most the next few days. ~
