Guest guest
Debra Hang in there, I have 2 autistic kids and whilst they are never 'normal " can I say they do change and the things you wrestle with today will not be what you wrestle with later on. At 7 my little boy lived under a blanket in a pram refusing to get out, he did not walk or talk or interact with anyone at anytime. At 12 I told him I had a lump in my breast and he asked could he touch it ? I replied " no their my privates " his reply " damn, so close but yet so far " . As I said not exactly the " normal response " butttttttt??????? Gotta laugh sometimes. The outpouring of support here..... my gosh.. I really so much appreciate the outpouring of support and information here since I have had questions about my 5 year old. I feel a little bad about taking up the site with this because it is a fibro support site. I will try to keep most of the future email about this on a private basis. Not because I don't want to share it, but because I do not want to stray too far away from the purpose of this support site. I will tell you that my heart has been overwhelmed by the knowledge and outpouring of support here on this topic.. That is what is so special about this group... we have people from EVERY walk of life imaginable. When it all boils down, we are all just human beings who connect and can share what the miseries of fibromyalgia can bring to our lives. Thanks so much. And may I say, I hope that all of you are doing as well as can be today because you all suffer from a horrible illness just as I do. Alot of you worse than me.
