Guest guest
After having written me up for everything you could possibly think of over the last 2 weeks, I was fired yesterday. FOR WAITING ON MY HUSBAND! Now, company policy is that they prefer you not to wait on your immediate household members. However, this is not uniformly enforced. This is the first time I have ever checked out my husband at my own register, and if the manager on duty had been in the building instead of outside smoking and talking with her husband, I wouldn't have had to do it. They are supposed to give a written warning for this before they fire you, but they didn't do that. Afer all, I have been " written up so much lately that it really would have been a waste of paper " , don't ya know. This same manager has screwed me out of 4 hours in the last 2 weeks by making me clock out early. She has also failed to do her own job, making me responsible for picking up the slack, and then written me up for not finishing my own stuff. I'm not sorry that I no longer work there. I can get another job, and I will have to. After 5 years of fighting for disability, I am still nowhere and we have to have a place to live. We can't make it on just what my husband makes. Right now, I am just going to take a few days off and let my body recover from all the abuse it has taken for the last 9 months in that place.
