Guest guest
My advice is to enjoy your success and don't lessen it by then comparing it to the meals where you don't succeed! you wouldn't do that to anyone else... treat yourself with the kindness you would give to your own child. anyway, every time that you eat consciously and respect your food desires and fullness, you strengthen your ability to do so in the future. i am SO much better at this than I used to be. i basically never overeat now. and it's not something i have to think about carefully, either. it just gets a lot easier with time. so congratulations on your success!best, abby What a wonderful story! It sounds like you have broken through a wall and have seen the other side of enjoying food. What do you think you did, to make yourself have this experience? It will be a good tip for the rest of us. Kate > > Went out to dinner for my anniversary with DH and had a great meal. I ate slowly and enjoyed every bite. I ate what I wanted instead of thinking about my weight and even shared a dessert with my hubby. I ate just enough. I wasn't stuffed or miserable but comfortable and satisfied. I just wish all my meals were like this. > --
