,

Depending on how you stored it, it may have gotten contaminated by

something in th freezer. It could also be that the antibodies and enzymes

in your milk are just doing your job and helping it to be easily

digestible. :) Milk will partially digest itself if left sitting on the

counter.

Make sure when you collect milk, your pump and container is freshly washed,

in hot soapy water, rinsed well... as are your hands... Chill the fresh

milk in the refrigerator before placing it in the freezer. When you thaw

it out, thaw it quickly under warm running water, or in a pan of water...

in other words, dont give it time to do what its supposed to do. :)

Milk that smells and tastes bad is spoiled. Sometimes, milk can smell like

soap, and that isnt spoiled, but just isnt tasty either. That can happen

if the cream is exposed to air, like storing milk in bags can do.

Try storing milk in glass canning jars for a while. Buy the smallest you

can. I got some at our grocery store in TX for $6 and lids for $2 for a

dozen. They were the skinny two ounce size. If you can find a little

freezer box, or even a kids shoebox with holes cut out, you can use that to

keep the bottles from contacting other things in your freezer, and to keep

them from rolling around.

It sounds like it was too old, but so you know the chunks are the

milk fat. It is good to shake the bottle and get it all mixed up.
