Guest guest
I'm so glad you like it. Banana bread is much more fun than flax seed oil! Unfortunately I don't have any other recipes for flax seed meal. I add about 3 tbsp to my cereal each morning. In addition to the bread, that supplies a good daily dose. I read that flax seed has been a favorite of European bakers for years, so there must be more recipes out there somewhere. I will look around on the internet and will share any I find. Flax seed is supposed to be great for the heart as well as the skin. Thanks for flax seed recipe , thanks so much for the banana date bread recipe (message 10109). We loved it. I have never even heard of flax seed meal before, but found it at the health food store. I ate this for breakfast for a few days. It must be full of fiber as it did wonders for my irritable bowel syndrome. Do you have any more recipes, or can you tell me where to find them? Thanks again. Guest guest
Geraldine, This web site has lots of information on cooking with flax seed, including recipes. It recommends buying whole flax seed and grinding it into meal immediately prior to use. It will have more nutritional value if it is freshly ground. The Orange Bran Flax Muffins sound tasty; I'm going to give those a try. http://www.flaxcouncil.ca/recindex.htm Happy cooking, ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eGroups.com home: /group/rosacea-support - Simplifying group communications
