Guest guest
Hi Debbie, What a mess that must be, replacing the water lines that is. of course, the lack of toilets could cause me another mess. sorry for the grossness. You've really had a lot going this week. I've had two of those body scans in the past couple of years. They are such a pain to get ready for, but the test is so easy. Don't you just love how the machine is not radioactive because you are!?! What are they looking for? Good luck, Marti deebs87 wrote: Thanks Marti, They are replacing all the big water lines on our two connecting streets that end in cul-de-sacs. Today they are tearing up our neighboring cul-de-sac and soon will do ours. Joy Joy. The streee of this is making my IBS act up, too. This is the week of my body scan on Friday. Yesterday and today getting shots to prepare me for the scan. Tomnorrow get the radioactive iodine pill for the scan. Lots of driving to do this week. Friday my husband is taking me to the scan so I won't have to drive that day. hugs, Debbie J > > I'm sorry you're having such a bad start to your day. Guest guest
Hi Marti, I posted about my thyroid cancer a few weeks ago. Had my thyroid gland removed in 2005. So do get body scans periodically to check for new growth. My GI doctor ordered the HIDA scan since he learned I have a swollen common bile duct. Get bad pain often at night from it, too. Too bad you are getting bad sinus problems again too. Hope you will be better soon, too. Good luck with your upcoming tests, also. Sounds funny you said I may glow in the dark. The pill is a low dose for the body scan. Did get a higher dose in the past but stayed in the hospital when it was done. hugs, Debbie J
Guest guest
Hi Debbie, I'm sorry I missed your post about your thyroid cancer. I had to take a long break because of being so sick and I really got behind on what was going on; It was really hard to jump back in too, because everyone was talking about things I didn't know anything about. I didn't feel right at first starting to post again. I felt like I might be intruding. Now I know that is just me, but I feel that way alot. It was hard for me though. It also seemed like only two people even remembered me. I got over it as you can see. I just think I better try not to take such a break again. I missed everyone on the group and missed the comfort and support too. I've had to have a lot of those scans because I also have bone cancer. I've had bone marrow biopsies and the whole nine yards. My kids always use to say I glowed in the dark when I was getting ready for a new scan. I'm so sorry you get so much pain from the bile duct. I hope they find out what is wrong and that it can be treated easily. Do you still have your gall bladder cause they look at that on the hida scan too. Are you having both of the scans Friday? It's good chatting with you friend, Marti deebs87 wrote: Hi Marti, I posted about my thyroid cancer a few weeks ago. Had my thyroid gland removed in 2005.
