Guest guest
Klaus My rosacea was diagnoised by my dr. just looking and asking very detailed questions. I think I caught mine in the early stages. As you read more of the posts here you will see that we all react quite differently. You need to find your triggers such as food, stress, heat, etc. When you are able to figure out your triggers it will help you. A lot of us have very sensitive skin and we all react differently to various products. I feel that you need to keep your skin very clean. Some of the others only wash with water. You are going to have to experiment to see what works for you. Alot of the members use diet, vitamins, herbs etc. Like I said you are being a very interersting journey. Also you need to find a good sun screen and use it everyday rain or shine. The sun usually wreeks havock with the majority of us. An last ask as many questions of this group as you can think of. We all support each other and are happy to let you know what works for each of us. Remember when you start trying new things do it slowly and one product at a time. Give it time to see if it bothers you. That way you will be able to pin point what is wrong. Try things that come in sample size so you dont have to spend a fortune on skin care products and soaps etc. I am sorry I do not know anyone from Germany but their may be someone else in the group that does. Good Luck, Bobbye
Guest guest
Hello Klaus! Welcome to the group! I've had 3 dermatologists examine me in as many years, along with several general practitioners. Just walking around some days I see people who to me look as though they could have cea. However, I think derms should not only take a good long look with a magnified mirror, but talk and LISTEN to the patient. What caught the attention of the only derm who diagnosed me was what I now know are the feelings of being flushed. She asked questions about diet and stress and sun exposure and that is what led to the diagnosis. As to your second question, I'd say it varies. Early detection is good. Even in my case, where I've seen my cea spread a bit, I've had almost complete reversal on my nose and forehead. If you find your triggers and avoid them, long-term outcome may quite good.
