Guest guest
Chantelle, Forgive me if I have already sent this - I thought I did, but just found it in my " drafts " folder. Good for you for changing your diet...that's a great start, keep it up. Sometimes our bodies need a little more help. I agree with Kim that you should schedule a visit with your endocrinologist. Since we know that CHARGE messes with hormones, this would be a perfect person to talk to. Endocrinology is a very delicate system that needs to be in balance. If something is out of whack - it influences something else and it becomes a domino effect. just went to his endocrinologist last week....and the doc asks him many of the same questions every 6 months. One of the questions he asks relates to energy levels. The thyroid gland and thyroid hormones run the body's metabolism. These are some symptoms of under active thyroid: Fatigue Weakness Weight gain or increased difficulty losing weight Coarse, dry hair Dry, rough pale skin Hair loss Cold intolerance (can't tolerate the cold like those around you) Muscle cramps and frequent muscle aches Constipation Depression Irritability Memory loss Abnormal menstrual cycles I think I remember you commenting about fatigue, weakness, and weight gain. Do the rest look like any of your symptoms? You can be tested by a simple blood test. Keep us posted. Good luck! Sally (Andy's mom)
