Where can I get information about whatever legal > precedent thier might be regarding this ? > ------------------- Hi Steve -- the following is information that can be verified on any legal website: FACT SHEET United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit ADDRESS: United States Courthouse 500 Pearl St. New York, NY 10007 CHIEF JUDGE: The Honorable Jon O. Newman CLERK: Lange III JURISDICTION: Connecticut, New York, Vermont Please note that Vermont is indeed part of the Second Circuit. Now, several precedent-setting cases against forced 12-step involvement have been decided here in the 2nd Circuit -- v. Coughlin was one; more recently, after many appeals on the part of Orange County (N.Y.), the decision in Warner v. Orange County Probation Dep't. went all the way to the state Supreme Court, which declined to hear the case, leaving the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals decision intact. Here's a link to the final decision in that case: http://members.tripod.com/~rita66/warner.htm You have a CAN'T-LOSE case if you challenge mandated AA in the state of Vermont (2nd Circuit) -- so if you want to go that route and fight forced AA by defending your country's Constitution, please call your local Bar Association, and ask for a referral to an attorney who has experience with First Amendment, particularly Establishment Clause, cases. p.s. My lawsuit referenced the and Warner cases -- and when my agency's attorneys reviewed this literature, they RUSHED to settle out-of-court! Good Luck, Rita > Also, as I have never been an alcoholic, these meetrings have no efect on me > other than compromising my time to do other things like play with this damned > old computer. I hear ya!
