Guest guest
Just wanted to post to you all that this is the FIRST sunscreen that I have been able to use on my face. I have been using it since Saturday and so far so good. The only active sunscreen ingredients are dimethicone and titanium dioxide. I happened across this when searching this archive, didn't even know it existed! It works as both a moisturizer and sunscreen. What I like is it doesn't go on white like most titanium dioxide sunscreens. It spreads really well, but you have to wait about 5 minutes or so for it to sink in. I am so glad to have found something that my face likes! Not sure if this has anything to do with NOT having a reaction, but I apply a thin layer of Dr. Sy's vita oil underneath (have been using this as my nighttime moisturizer and absolutely love it). I had actually had a major flare on my forehead and it's healing finally by just using Dr. Sy's vita oil on it. I haven't tried the sunscreen there yet, as I am waiting for it to fully heal. This seems to be the worst flare spot for me, so I'll probably test the sunscreen on the rest of my face for a week or so to make sure before I do my whole face including the forehead. The sunscreen is pretty pricey, $37, but you don't need a lot of it. And if it takes the place of your daily moisturizer AND sunscreen, it probably might be cheaper. I asked the Clinique girl if she could give me a sample and the answer was no (said they didn't have anything to put it in). But I was assured that if I reacted, I could certainly bring it back. Hope this helps someone that can't to use the chemical blocks like me! Charlene
