Guest guest
Hi,Marti Thank you so much for your letter about yourself. It helps a lot knowing that they are other people just like us. We all face different monsters and stress from our families,It helps me just be able to share my feelings, I love to make people smile because it keeps me going at the same time. I have learned a lot from life. I to lived with an alcoholic for 24 years. My ex was the alcoholic and the father of my four children 2girls and 2 boys. MY oldest son has ceberal palsy very very mild. I stayed with my ex that long because he was in the army , which meant free medical for us and Jerry. All my kids are grown and have families of their own. My 2boys live in Florida they are the oldest of the kids, my oldest daughter lives in sville, Tenn. Her husband was killed in Iraq in June 2006. She has 3 small children, they are doing fine. My youngest daughter is stationed at FT. Bliss. TX she will be going to Kuwait in 2 weeks. She has 2 boys which one is the one I have here with me. Isaiah has lived with me since he was 4 years old . He left for 6 months last year to try to be with Mom in Texas, She was in an accident and had to be hospitalized and plus got orders to leave for Kuwait and that threw Isaiah in to a tailspin and He came back to me. Now I had to restart all of his treatment and programs up all over again. I think we have better doctors this time around.Isaiah is afarid that something is going to happen to his Mom since his uncle david was killed.I left my 2nd husband in Nov. 2007.It just wasnt working he was a very negative person and he had hit me once that was once to many, he wouldnot get help, he didnt drink or do drugs.so that is how come I now have Mom thru the week and Isaiah all the time, I am the only stable person in that childs life, who has never left him and always been here for him.Now that I am not working this gives me something to do, I,ve been thinking about volunteering just havent decided where to volunteer at. I have live in Germany 9 years . I was in augsburg for 4.5 years,. then ft. , ga for 2 years then back to nuermburg, germany for 4.5 years. then my ex got out of the army back home to nc. my ex left in1995. I then went to Botswana, Africa for almost 2 years as a teacher in a church school. that was an awesome experience, I would love to go back to Africa. then back to nc and havent been anywhere else. I was working full time at a fast food resturant 50-60 hours a week then a second job 30-45 hrs a week. I just kept myself busy not thinking or taking care of myself untill may 2007 then all started to slow down for me and I have to do better for myself.I hope you have a great day, keep smiling even when it s hard as a smile always helps those around you. My prayers and thought are with you. Della Welcome Teri Hey Teri - Welcome to the group. Thanks for speaking up. I had one of those kind of accidents, too. Traffic had come to a complete stop on the freeway due to construction. The kid that hit me had fell asleep at the wheel, so he was cruising around 60 MPH. This was back in Oct. of 2002. I was fortunate that his car was a little thing, and I was in our minivan. I had whiplash and a real banged-up knee from hitting the dash. But this didn't cause my FM as I was officially diagnosed in 1998 and believe I've had symptoms since childhood. I hope you find comfort belonging to a group of people who know and truly understand what you go through. Take care. Jeanne in WI Hey, new one here. Actually I have been lurking for a couple of weeks.. I felt too lousy to even jump in and say hello. WOW, I do know exactly how you feel. I arrived in this condition from an auto accident.. Some young man used the back of my car to stop is car..abruptly I might say. I look fine other than a closed head injury, herniated disks and a really bad back now! To make matters worse this FM set in and has taken up permanent residence had to ½ my neck fused together, my thyroid then developed nodules (too many x-rays or possibly from the surgery) my gall bladder came out this spring. I am on more meds than I can remember to list and am seeing a pain management doctor. Oh did forget to mention I will be seeing an endocrinologist in a couple of weeks or as soon as I can get an appointment because the doctor keeps having to increase my thyroid medication.. I guess they might yank that out too depending on what they find again. ____________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
