Guest guest
Hello. I am Anita & I'm a new subscriber though I've been reading the archives for a couple of months now. My rosacea is " very mild " according to my dermatologist - mostly just a persistent pinkness, but it's very bothersome to me. I look like I have a constant sunburn, but no papules or pustules & my skin is very fair. I had PRK? (can't remember the letters all of a sudden!) laser treatment about a month ago to destroy the visible broken blood vessels. It helped some but I'm still plenty pink. Do any of you know of a sunscreen that comes in a gel form rather than cream? The various cream types I've tried make my face soooo oily after just a couple of hours & then my makeup really looks crummy. Now, I do live in Texas & it's very hot & humid so some of that is just my environment but I read somewhere, once upon a time, that sunscreen gels are better absorbed into the skin. I'd like to see if that's true, however, I can't find any. As an aside: I just got a fabulous sun hat from http://www.travelsmith.com They have quite a selection of sun hats (even ones that look like French Foreign Legion hats!). The one I purchased has a 5 " brim and will roll up to pack in a suitcase. (Their whole site is devoted to wrinkle-free, non-crushable travel stuff.) Appreciate any suggestions you may have on the sunscreens. Please cc me individually as well as I'm reading this via the website right now. Thanks! Regards, Anita Anita Fiedler mailto:afiedler@...
