Guest guest
Beverly, Wishing you all the luck sweetie! Do you know when the surgery will be, or are you still in the searching areas of this? Dawn -----Original Message-----From: Dreamsmall@... I will be starting support group there the 1st Friday of January. I am greatly over weight and have been most of my life, going on up and down diets forever. I am hoping I can now get some real help. I am 44, married with children and husband, happily for 16 years and now it is my time to be able to join in on the fun. I homeschool my kids and need to be able to take those hikes with the kids and do other things, so I am seriously looking into this surgery. Guest guest
Hi Beverly! Welcome to the group...we're a really friendly bunch and these are some of the most supportive people I've ever met in my life. Feel free to ask any of us anything...no topic seems to be taboo around here LOL. My name is . I'm 26, happily married with two beautiful girls. Like you, one of the main reasons I considered weight loss surgery was because I just didn't have the energy to play with my kids like I wanted to. Heck, I didn't have the energy to do much of anything. Now, almost 7 mos. later and 85 lbs lighter I feel like I could conquer the world. It's not the easy way out for certain. I still have to deal with my issues with food, and sometimes I don't make great choices, but I have been given a chance to rethink my relationship with food while succeeding in my battle for weight loss...something I never had with diet and exercise alone. I think I speak for the general consensus of the group when I say it was the best thing I ever did for myself. Again, feel free to ask anything! Guest guest
, Wow, you look great in your picture and to think your surgery was only 7 months ago. Maybe I will be there by next year. Thanks for the encouragement! Beverly

I am still searching. I have to go to 3-4 support group meetings to make sure this is what I want, then to the dietician, have apnea test and then back to the doctor. I figure in about 4 months or so the surgery will be, from what the doctor and I talked about. Thanks, Beverly
