Guest guest
I am finally going to start photoderm the week after next. I am spending a lot of time as of late in California, so I'm going to do the procedures with Dr. Bitter. I met with him this last week and he was very nice and informative. He is actually going to to do the procedure himself which makes me feel more comfortable. I really hope I respond to it. I don't think I cannot take too much more of this condition without some real improvement. The creams only do so much. I was doing really well until a few months ago when I started flushing every night. That has somewhat subsided, but now I am getting a lot of bumps for the first time and my face has been really itchy. Fortunately the bumps seem to have gone down today. I really hope they stay away. Anyway, it is clear that I have to try photoderm to stop this condition from progressing, and possibly even reverse it significantly. Wish me luck. I will definately be avoiding the sun this summer (although even without the photoderm I would be avoiding the sun, my worst trigger). By the way, for those of you who are perplexed by reactions to zinco, I too reacted to it. After a week of using and being overjoyed by it's protection, I started to get very itchy and little rashy bumps formed on my cheeks. I stopped for a few days till the bumps went away, moisturized my face, and tried it again over a moisturizer. Immediately, I had an allergic reaction. I was very disappointed, but I am back to using zinc oxide ointment at night, and plan to use city block sunscreen in a couple of days when my face is back to normal. Dr. Sy is a godsend for creating this product and it seems that most people can tolerate it and love it. For those like myself there are other options. Take care.
